New Years is the oldest of all holiday celebrations. First celebrated about 4000 years ago by the ancient Babylonians. While our celebration marks it’s height with the count down to midnight on New Years Eve, the Babylonians celebrated for 11 days (sounds like those folks know how to party); each days celebration was a little bit different. A tradition that has carried on from the Babylon time is the making of resolutions. The Babylonians most often made a resolution to return farm borrowed equipment. I haven’t quite decided on mine yet. I do know that on New Years Eve I will be celebrating the festivities with family and friends around a dinner table with drink in hand. On Jan. 1, I will be watching the Rose Parade with my husband and daughter, following that the Rose Bowl. That’s my simple celebration in San Diego, CA.
Here are some fabulous celebrations that LIFE has captured in New Year’s Around the World .
We, at Tee Compressed, wish you all a safe and Happy New Years! This marks the final post of 2010, we’ll talk more in 2011!

Thank you for the letter you sent! Quite frankly I am in awe, I've never worked with a company (or a person) who would hand-write a note to a customer.
