"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season," CBS said in a statement late Thursday night. This comes hours after Charlie Sheen’s rant on a radio station. The level that he sunk to is really quite embarrassing. He criticized the executives of the show, singling out the creator and lead writer, Lorre, calling him names like a bully on a playground rather than a 45 year old grown man. Mr. Sheen continued to preach about how he is the end all, be all of the show ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Need we remind him that it’s not called ‘Charlie Sheen and the other 2 guys?’ While I realize he must presumably be under the influence, it is still intolerable behavior on his part.
He stands to lose hundreds of millions in earnings. Maybe that will be a wake up call, maybe not. The point is at no time whether we are the CEO of a mulit-million dollar corp., inventor of air, or President of the Free World should we let our ego take such control of our lives and our point of view. You can always be a better you, learn more, and should take under advisement what others have to say and offer. I do hope that Charlie Sheen recovers and returns to normalcy.
Now if you are going to rant…follow the lead of this 5 year old.

Posted in: We Think It's Cool | Feb 17th, 2011 | No Comments »Last nights group auditions were full of Drama (capital “D”!) Never have I been so impressed, disappointed, delighted and in dismay at the same time. Watching these young adults and kids claw their way into the top 100 is both a testament to their drive and determination but also speaks about their morality. We are all faced with tough decisions when choosing what is in our best interest, for good of the group or for the good of just another individual. One group specifically failed miserably when they kicked out Jaycee Badeaux at 2am. After all the groups had been formed, songs chosen, and the practices were in full swing this youth was left wondering the halls hoping to find another group to take him in. Luckily he did! The group that cut him didn’t think he had the skills…I think it was a cover that they didn’t believe in his “look.” Well, he showed them. After learning the routine and some of the song of his new group he went on stage and performed…and he is moving forward to the next round. This is not what impressed me though. When asked by the judges what his story was, ‘why he was in a new group’ (they had obviously caught wind of the late night events) he humbly and gracefully explained that it just wasn’t a match with the other group. He did not speak ill fully of them. He did not throw them under the bus. He did not spin it to his advantage. He is a guy that I would take on my team any day. At 15 this kid knows how to handle himself.
I tell this story not to lecture or preach but to remind you that we choose how to handle ourselves when faced with opposition. We can decide whether we are the victim or the victor. And all the while do it with grace and high moral standards. I am pulling for you Jaycee Badeaux.

Thank you for the letter you sent! Quite frankly I am in awe, I've never worked with a company (or a person) who would hand-write a note to a customer.
