For this Wearable Wednesday, I want to review a couple of tops I just got from Suburban Riot at Skulls&Wings.  I am not a professional at reviews, all I can give is my honest opinion of how I liked the tops.  Since I am a young woman/mom that still wants to look sexy I tend to buy shirts that can go to the park or dress up for a nice dinner.  I found a nice balance with these.  Suburban Riot bodes well made apparel, quality material, the cut of the shirts are unique but don’t hang off your body like a sheet.  Here are my specific thoughts on these shirts: 

Sub_Urban Riot Womens Skinny Sleeve Slouch T-Shirt.  I ordered this in white (it brings out my tan).  It is slightly transparent but not entirely see through.  Wears fitted at the bottom of the sleeve.  It drapes loosely but not slouching around the bodice.  It isn’t a crop top, covers part of your a**, so it works well with tight pants.  I wore it with some dark skinny jeans and platform heels- a great summer look.  The rounded neck is not cut too low, just enough to make you feel sexy.  Throw on a necklace as shown in the pic for a complete look.

Sub_Urban Riot Womens Rouched 3/4 Sleeve T-Shirt.  This is a super soft basic black tee.  I’ve worn it multiple times now with my boyfriend jeans and dressed up with my Joie jeans.  Curved bottom hem is perfect to again not make it a crop top but give it a little detail in the fit.  The stitching on the shoulder sleeve is down a few inches on the arm and on the back of the shirt shoulder to shoulder which creates a loose fit.  The shoulders don’t poof.  Like the 3/4 sleeve.

Would buy both shirts again, recommend for your basic everyday wardrobe.

A cool theater, fresh popcorn, a gigantic soda, candy, and strangers all around me…nothing beats the movies!  And definitely nothing beats a classic summer movie.  I asked around the Tee Compressed office and we came up with our favorite summer movies.  A common thread runs through many of our top…schools out or summer school is in, surfing, sunburns, family, car rides, camping, fishing, country clubs, and mayhem.

5.) Summer Rental    Jack Chester: Don’t serve those. Al: What are you doing? Jack Chester: These are my lobsters. Al: Your lobsters? Jack Chester: That’s right you’ve got my table but you’re not getting my lobsters. Al: Oh and this is your table? Jack Chester: [Slams his hands on the table] My table!

6.) Weekend at Bernie’s    Larry Wilson: What kind of a host invites you to his house for the weekend and dies on you?

7.) One Crazy Summer    Aquilla Beckersted: If you don’t come home with that trophy, we lose it all! No more pools, no more Ferrari. And you know what happens then? 
Teddy Beckersted: Don’t say it, Dad! Aquilla Beckersted: That’s right, Ted. You’ll have to go to.. Teddy Beckersted: [covering his ears] NO! Aquilla Beckersted: WORK, Teddy, WORK! Teddy Beckersted: Don’t say that word! I’ll win! Please just don’t say that word!

8.) Dazed & Confused    Wooderson: That’s what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.

9.) Caddyshack    [Caddy Danny arrives among the rich in his yachting outfit] Spalding Smails: Ahoy polloi… where did you come from, a scotch ad?

10.) Dirty Dancing    Johnny: Nobody puts Baby in a corner.

We are so excited for the H&M to open in Encinitas!  The last time I shopped H&M was actually in New York…funny I had to fly across the country to shop the store but anyways.  They were down the street from the hotel I was staying at so I walked over and low and behold found a pair of jeans that I live for.  They make me look super skinny!  And, they were super cheap (super cheap…but not cheaply made, we know there is a huge difference).  So to prep the Encinitas community for this awesome store, I’ve pulled some basics to relax in for this Wearable Wednesday.  To see more of what they’ve got go to H&M.com

June 21st marks the first day of Summer!  It is important to recognize today because it is the day of the Summer Solstice.  This happens when the Sun is farthest north and the Earth is tilted at its max towards the Sun.  The Solstice gives us the longest day from sunrise to sunset and the shortest night.

We have 14 hours of daylight to look forward to each day in the Summer.  I will be enjoying these sunny days at the beach, bbq’ing with friends, and relaxing!
